Overview

Applura is a platform for building, managing, and delivering web sites and web applications to your users and customers.

Where to begin

First, familiarize yourself with what you'll need to do to launch an Applura project. There are a few milestones, described below and documented in more detail throughout this guide. Depending on your role, you may need to complete all of them, or work with others to finish them.

Project milestones

Every Applura project has these tasks in common, in loose order:

  1. Configuration of one or more resource types (e.g. Blog post, Bio, or Dashboard);
  2. Creation of resources, which are individual instances of those resource types;
  3. Development of a front-end application which consumes those resources and implements the project's visual design;
  4. Configuration of a custom domain name.

User roles

You may be responsible for only one of those tasks or all of them. If you're collaborating with others on the project, you may have just one of three roles on a project. You'll learn more about user roles on the next page in this manual.

If you're building an entire application yourself, you'll have the owner role.
