Manage menus
On the web, a menu provides your end-users with an intuitive, structured way to navigate your project's resources.
Your project's menus can be single- or multi-level. For example, a news site might have a top-level menu item titled World with items titled North America, Europe, Africa, etc. These second-level items are called child items and the item they're organized under is referred to as their parent item. There is no limit to the level of depth your project's menus can have.
Your project's menus can be organized by any logged-in user and can be reorganized without changes to your project's front-end application. That is, you change the menu contents, order, and item depths from the UI at any time.
Add a menu link
To add a new menu link, log into your project's management UI then:
- Follow the Structure link from the main navigation at the top of the management UI
- Find the menu in which your new link should appear
- Click its Edit menu button (you may need to add a menu if none are available)
- Click the Add link button
- Enter a title for the new link (e.g. "Home")
- Begin typing the title of an existing resource into the Link text field, then select the resource which your link should target. To create an external link, paste the external URL into the field instead
- Optionally, enter a description for the link
- Optionally, disable the menu link if it should not yet be displayed to your end-users
- Submit the new link by clicking the Save button
- Find the newly added link in your menu
- If the link is not located where you would like it, you can reposition it.
Edit a menu link

Reposition a menu link
To move an existing menu link to before or after another link, or to make it a child of another link, log into your project's management UI then:
- Follow the Structure link from the main navigation at the top of the management UI
- Find the menu in which your new link should appear
- Click its Edit menu button
- Find the link you would like to reposition
- Click and hold the 4-arrow icon to drag it to a new position
- Drag the link to its proper place in your menu while clicking and holding the arrow icon. A link becomes a child of another link when it is dragged underneath and to the right of another parent link
