Manage paths

A resource path is the URL segment which appears after a domain name. For example, /one/two is the path in the URL https://www.example.com/one/two?q=three. Paths are not vitally important to your project nor are they required, but many people choose to customize them to make them easier for their end-users to remember or as part of a search engine optimization (SEO) strategy.

Set a custom path

To set a custom path, log into your project's management UI then:

  1. Follow the Resources link from the main menu at the top of the management UI
  2. Add or edit the resource you would like to set a path for
  3. If a sidebar with a URL path section is not already visible, expose the sidebar by clicking the sidebar button located next to the Save button.
  4. Expand the URL path section of the sidebar by clicking on it if a text field is not already visible
  5. Enter the custom path to set. It must begin with a leading, forward slash (/), such as /one/two
  6. Click the Save button
