Manage paths
A resource path is the URL segment which appears after a domain name. For example, /one/two
is the path in the URL https://www.example.com/one/two?q=three
. Paths are not vitally important to your project nor are they required, but many people choose to customize them to make them easier for their end-users to remember or as part of a search engine optimization (SEO) strategy.
Set a custom path
To set a custom path, log into your project's management UI then:
- Follow the Resources link from the main menu at the top of the management UI
- Add or edit the resource you would like to set a path for
- If a sidebar with a URL path section is not already visible, expose the sidebar by clicking the sidebar button located next to the Save button.
- Expand the URL path section of the sidebar by clicking on it if a text field is not already visible
- Enter the custom path to set. It must begin with a leading, forward slash (
/
), such as/one/two
- Click the Save button
